Raynald Delerme is unarguably the godfather of Haitian cinema and his son Marc Anthony Delerme is following his footsteps. This is, I think, a first in Haitian filmmaking history.

Where's The Justice is a new Haitian movie, in English, premiering today, Sunday January 18, 2009, at California Club Cinema 6 in Miami, Florida. Starring Marc Anthony Delerme, Daniel Adolphe, Sarah Delerme, Natacha Simeon, and Anthony Alexander.

Haitian father, businessman, filmmaker Raynald Delerme flew all the way from Haiti to attend what will be, to him, an unforgettable moment in his life.

We've seen it done in the Haitian music industry. Haitian music legend Robert Martino's legacy passed down to his two sons, Roberto and Reynaldo Martino of T-Vice, Lionel Benjamin's legacy passed down to his son Michael Benjamin (Mika), and Jean-Robert Herisse aka Porky's legacy being passed down to his son, Kreyol La Bass player Stanley Herisse.

We now have, in the growing Haitian movie industry, Raynald Delerme, known by all Haitians as "Baba" for more than 20 years, passing down the torch to his son Marc Anthony Delerme in the Haitian movie industry.

Marc Anthony 'T' Delerme is a confirmed actor but he now sets himself as producer/director in the movie "Where's The Justice". Premiering on Sunday January 18, 2009 (7PM) at California Club Cinema 6 in Miami, Florida, T Delerme will debut his behind the camera career, following his father's footstep.

It was in 1986, 23 years ago, that his father, Raynald Delerme, premiered his first movie (Founerailles) at Cine Triomphe in Champs de Mars, Haiti. Using video technology as support for his film and a cast including the immortal Theodore Beaubrun (Languichatte Debordus) and the members of his theatrical and television crew, Raynald Delerme set the path to what Haitian cinema is today.

Haitian Cinema, although it is still unappreciated and undervalued in the Haitian community, is a collection of video recordings of Haitian History. This is why we have to continue to support it by any means necessary.

If you take a minute to watch Founerailles, still available on DVD, not only will you see the young and vibrant Raynald Delerme in his prime, but you will see an image of Haiti that has disappeared.

You will see what was in style in Haiti back in the eighties, the clean streets of Port-Au-Prince that has since deteriorated, a beautiful image of what was then Haiti cherie.

Today's Haitian movies are recording Haiti's present evolution, something we can watch 23 years from now and say "WOW, how much we have changed as a nation", hopefully for the better.

With "Where's The Justice", T. Delerme will confirm himself, not just as an good actor, but a producer and director as well.

The grand premiere for Where's The Justice will be a red carpet event starting at 7PM and the movie will start at 7:30PM. This will be a great opportunity for you all to show your appreciation and support to the Delermes.

Just as with father Kirk Douglas and son Michael Douglas in the American cinema world, we now have Raynald and Marc Anthony Delerme.

Congratulations to both father and son for what I believe will be a great day for both. We expect to receive lots of pictures from the grand premiere and we will be sure to share them with you in the days to come.

We are expecting the grand premiere to be sold out and we encourage you to hurry and purchase your tickets in advance.

Stay tuned for info about Where's The Justice and Marc Anthony Delerme.
