Haiti Cinema : Haitian filmmaker can't remember the last time he put his movie on DVD

"I can't remember the last time I put one of my Haitian on DVD," one Haitian filmmaker tells Belfim. "It is a big waste of time and money," he said. "Who's gonna buy it from you?"

By "who's gonna buy it from you," he means the DVD retail stores.

According to this Haitian filmmaker who wants to remain anonymous, many of the stores that used to sale Haitian DVDs are closed and the ones that are left open wont even buy DVDs from you in quantity.

Is that what the Haitian movie industry has come down to?
