Los Angeles, CA September 7th -Amidst the onslaught of hurricane Gustav and Hannah, Jimmy Jean-louis (NBCs Heroes) visited Haiti to donate sports equipment from Hollywood United FootBall Club.

HUFC whose players include Anthony Lapaglia (Without a Trace), Brandon Routh (Superman), Ziggy Marley, Frank Le Boeuf (France World cup winner 1998), Alexi Lalas (former General Manager of David Beckham's LA Galaxy), Gilles Marini (Sex in the City's hunk) amongst others, generously donated sports kits to AJSB and L'Athletique D'Haiti, two non-profit organizations in Cite Soleil and Bel Air, the most impoverished slums of Port Au Prince, Haiti.

Jimmy Jean-Louis says, "Haiti always needs help, but right now the need is critical. The gravity of the situation is comparable to what happened in New Orleans with Katrina, it is happening right now in many cities in Haiti."

HUFC president Anthony Lapaglia says "We are committed to helping in anyway we can and urge others to do so as well."
