Don't need to know "what happened" other than he is a murderer.

How dare you marginalize his actions.

He may have been a friend but that alone doesn't justify what he did to another human being.

He is lost and despite his grasp at religion, does not know Christ.

Hopefully he finds him before he meets the Lord at judgment.
