New Youth Filmmaking Learning Center In Mirebalais Haiti
Haitian Filmmaker Hans Patrick Dormecan in Mirebalais Haiti
The official opening day is October 10, 2011, the first session will last six months.
According to Hans Patrick Dormecant, the executive director of MPAH, a few dozen young Haitians have already registered and are awaiting opening day.
Courses are FREE to young men and women between the ages of 14 and 22.
Professional from the movie industry living in Haiti and abroad will be coming in to teach these kids.
Hans Patrick Dormecant says...
"This training center in the art of cinema in Mirebalais Haiti will enable young people to be self-sufficient. The young people will be able to develop their creative skills, and that will create a positive environment for them."
