Haiti: Rex Theatre & Cine Triomphe, now Properties of the State

Some good news for Haitian Cinema: Rex Theatre and Cine Triomphe in Haiti are now properties of the State.

It's Official, The Haitian government now own both Rex Theatre and Cine Triomphe.

This announcement was made in a press conference held in Haiti the new minister of Communication and culture, Mme Marie Laurence Lassègue.

According to information we receive from Raynald Delerme, president of the Haitian Association of Filmmakers, both these theater will soon be available for playing of Haitian films.

Mr. Delerme was actually present in the press conference dated November 17.
