King Of The Blacks - Plot Summary

King Of The Blacks is The story of a King who rules a Kingdom that only his spirit could see. Sometimes our own worst enemy is ourselves. One man would learn this lesson but would it be too late for him and his people?

After setting the slave isle of Saint Dominique (Now Dominican Republic/Häiti) free, through 7 days, in 7 bloody battles, outmatched and outgunned 20 to 1, the son of disputed famed African King, raised by an ancient family friend and former slave turned catholic monk, Pierre Baptiste (Louis Gossett Jr.), becoming a man they would call Tousaint L'Ouverture, 'OUVERTURE' for the openings he creates.

Now Toussaint must confront a mirrored nemesis of himself; the very man who commanded him to war, emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, and set his people free, creating the first free black nation in the Americas, becoming king to a kingdom that only his spirit would see.
