Watched it Repeatedly on DVD

I started the movie on Sunday morning and had to stop at the club/ dance scene just after Pat kissed Joel out of jealous of Claudia and James.

I was anxious all throughout mass to discover how it would all end. Joel's easy-going character, and sweetly charming naiveté towards love, made me want good things for him and Pat. Up until the garage scene where Pat is slobbering all over James, I enjoyed the character and honestly thought she cared for Joel. I was disappointed when she had the audacity to cry in Joel's arms and tell him that she was upset about an accident.

I was even more disappointed when Pat deliberately chose to hang out with James while Joel was waiting for her at a surprise birthday party.

It's ironic that in the end Joel expected more from James while I, as the viewer expected more from Pat. Maybe I'm just a woman who hates to see a caring person trampled on.

Anyway, I love the film. I especially loved the way Gamall Augustin portrayed Joel's sweet/ tender masculinity.

His ability to project Joel's vulnerability made Joel that much more attractive, sexy, and loveable.

I also loved most of the movie setting - especially the gym scene when the camera strolls left to right into the foreground.

Since Sunday, I have watched this movie more than five times.
