belpoz.com/picture-6949This was a joint venture between the Haitian American Association of Filmmakers, The Dominican Association of Filmmakers, LA VISUAL SONARA in the Dominican Republic, and Kimse Yok Mu, a Solidarity and Aid Association currently operating in Haiti.

Here is part of a statement from Raynald Delerme regarding the Relief Efforts:

The Haitian American Association of Filmmakers is undertaking a relief mission to open up a shelter at Carrefour, at the PVS Cultural Center located at Ecole Frère Polycarpe in Waney 93.

belpoz.com/picture-6960This school was built in 1963 by GERARD DELERME, the father film Producer/Director RAYNALD DELERME, actual President & CEO of the Haitian American Association of Filmmakers.

belpoz.com/picture-6938It is a very big campus, has served the community for many years and we are looking into providing 2 meals a day, shelter, medical aid and free Haitian movie shows in the main theater to people in the area of Carrefour who are in so much need.

The last time we spoke to Raynald, he was on his way back to the Dominican Republic in order to return with even more supplies.

Haiti needs all our help, and nothing you do is to small at this time.

We applaud each and everyone of you who are making the decision to give back to Haiti.

Haiti is a country, despite everything, that has given to us liberty and freedom at a time when millions around the world were still dreaming about this Haitian birth right that we sometimes take for granted.
