Battle of Vertieres movie in the making

This film is based on the true story of the final battle in the Haitian Revolution that forced the French to abandon their mission of re-establishing slavery in Ayiti (Haiti).

The film will be filmed in French and Haitian creole. Some scenes will be filmed in Los Angeles, California, Boston, and the Caribbean.

The Haitian roles will be played by Haitian actors. The film will be released on January 1, 2008.
