Ed Lozama Biography

Ed Lozama started his radio career when he was a teenager.

Because of his passion for radio, he sets the record of having kicked out of the most radio studios as he was growing up in Haiti.

Ed Lozama went on to study broadcasting in Chicago and settled in Miami where he continued his radio career.

After a stint as a journalist with Voice of America in Washington DC, Ed decided to realize his dreams of working in radio in his homeland at a high level.

His dreams came true when he was named Program and Production Manager at the new Vision 2000 in Port-au-Prince. There he was like a kid in a candy store having his hands on everything that went on the air.

Ed Lozama left his marks on Haitian broadcasting with his now famous "After Hours" show. Night time belonged to him from October 1995 to November 1997 when he moved back to Florida.

In 2001, Ed was called upon to program the first Haitian formatted full time radio station in the United States. He took Radio Carnivale from an idea to an Arbitron rated station in record time. His morning drive time program "Bonjour Miami" became an instant icon and competed well with everything going on on other stations.

In 2004, Ed Lozama joined the Cherubin brothers Jean and Manny to create Planet Radio. There again He shines. His morning show "Ed Lozama Live" continues to draw large audience every morning.

Ed became a movie star by playing 30 seconds on Oasis and about 40 seconds on Player and a half. He is also a recording artist by delivering a 17 seconds monologue on Misty Jean's latest album.
