Sympathy for the villian

There are a number of personal criteria's I use to decide if a movie (or the quality of acting) is to my liking.

I knew I enjoyed this film script and the cast's acting when I found myself sympathizing, and at one point open cheering for, the antagonist Gregory Blaise while also commending Martine Delareu's efforts to fight him off.

The traditional, unfeministic part of me wanted Martine to at least confide in Didier or revisit her priorities.
