Weel, this is correct.

Cinema is shot with one camera except for scenes that cannot be redone because of cost issues.

I explain.

Good cinema requires capturing the same scene from different angles.

This allolws for better lighting on each angle, better sound recording and better editing.

The exception is, for example, when you are shooting a car crash.

You definitely dont want to crash 2 BMWs at different angles.

You would then use for that sequence multiple cameras placed at different positions.

In contrast, most TV shows are recorded with multiple cameras since they are live. That's the difference between film school and tv production school.

The latter shoots reality, the earlier recreates reality.
