It is a great thing to combat and raise awareness against all types of abuse, as such, within our communities.

The film "Child Abuse" I'm sure will challenge us all to become more pro-active in our relationships with our younger ones. What a great opportunity given to us all!

Clearly, the Haitian community is no exception to the malady of sexual abuse.

In fact, I believe that sexual abuse, and all of it's cousins, is more common within our community than we chose to believe.

Sure, our voice presently is a growing voice, but we still need to cry louder! One of our best defense agaimnst this dilemma is the continuous expose and the blatent crying out loud against it; the solemn decree of "enough" from every lips with the pounding of the fist upon every chest avowing to rescue the week and the helpless victims of this offense.

And let's not forget the taking to task of all offenders; seeking indictmnt to the fullest extent of law.

I command the work of the producers, the opportunity to raise awareness, and take a stand with these victims and be their voice through all forms of artistic medium is invaluable!

May this film further galvanize us to action; to ask question, to probe, and finally, to compassionately listen to the stories of our sisters and brothers that are so traumatizing that even the angels of heaven can no longer remain silent.
