Haitian Movies Have Taken a Big Step Forward

I went and saw se lavi in boca and let me tell you. haitian movies have taken a big step forward

This movie is a great movie

notice I didn't say a great haitian movie

the reason is this movie can be compare with any movie in any market american or european

the acting is so good and what surprises me the most is when I met the cast

they were so young, all of them, especially the director

the other thing I like about this movie is that it deals with some real issue in the haitian community, it wasn't the usual story and it was well told in a professional manner

when you watch this movie you don't feel like you're watching people who are pretending to be doing something you are taken into the story because they make you feel like you're are watching something in real life

let me simply say this, I saw a lot of american movies and a lot of haitian movies and usually I put the haitian movies in their own category because of budget, but se lavi is right there with the american movies that I've seen

the cast told me that se lavi 2 is coming soon and I can't wait for it cause if the first one looks like that I can only imagine what the second one will look like
