Hollywood Movie Stars at the Haiti Hotel Oloffson
belpoz.com/picture-7762Not a bad choice, I must admit, the first and only time I had a chance to dance to the sound of RAM at the Hotel Oloffson, it was an experience I will never forget.
I am sure that Haitian filmmaker Raynald Delerme will admit to this because he's the one who took me there.
Their Rhum punch is the bomb!
Richard Morse, as you may know, is the hotel manager and RAM band leader.
Over the weekend, Richard Morse published an article, Haiti: The Movie Stars, in the Huffington Post about his recent conversation with Hollywood movie stars Ben Stiller and Sean Penn at the Hotel Oloffson.
There is part of the article I really like... Richard Morse's says:
So we have Sean Penn running a refugee city [in Haiti] and Ben Stiller is building schools [in Haiti].
What am I doing?
Am I just going to sit here at my computer complaining about the injustices of the world?
Am I going to write a song about the earthquake?
Maybe I can slip $10 to someone who comes up to me and tells me they lost their whole family and home during the earthquake.

Speaking or RAM...
Here is one of my favorite RAM kanavals, and an appropriate one for this moment in time

About my pictures from Hotel Oloffson
You know how much I like to share photos with you. Unfortunately, the digital camera with all the pictures we took at Hotel Oloffson was stolen before I had a chance to download the pictures.
For the record, the camera was not stolen at the hotel... Perhaps what happened there was meant to remain there... LOL...
But that's another story...
