If you live in the tri-state area, we ask that you go out and support this event. It is very important for you, for your community, and for the Haitian actors and filmmakers who have dedicated their lives to entertaining you.

Your presence is how you tell them "We love you, we support you, and we appreciate you."

Hans Patrick Domercant and his staff at MPAH have been trying relentlessly to promote Haitian cinema. Recently they launched a New Youth Filmmaking Learning Center in Mirebalais Haiti , and this weekend they bring the Haitian Movie Awards to Boston MA.

There will be lots of Haitian actors and filmmakers arriving in Boston this weekend for the awards including Jean Claude Joseph aka Papa Pie, Smoye Noisy, Reginald Lubin, Filmmakers Arnold Antonin, Mora Junior Etienne, and Jean Gardy Bien Aime, who have confirmed their presence.

There are nominees for many categories including best actor, best director, best picture, and best movie website for which Belfim.com is nominated.

MPAH, The Motion Picture Association of Haiti, counts on your presence this Sunday, November 20 2011, in order to make this event a great success and to ensure its continuity.
