OVERVIEW OF THE EVENING:
The evening started late, but when it got moving, it was an evening of people celebrating and reminiscing about Tonton Nord. There were a number of people who spoke that knew him professionally through his beginning in the entertainment industry in Haiti to his rise to fame. But the moment that made everyone understood why it is absolutely important that we Recognize, Appreciate, Celebrate and Honor our Haitian talents while they are still yet alive was Singer/Performer Brother J, performer song titled "Ti Tan" (Time), The lyrics:
Pran youn ti tan pou apran rinmin mouin
Pran youn ti tan pou cherche konpran mouin
Minsi nou pa ale na minm direksion
Minsi nou pa ta gin minm opinion
-Ke-
Pran youn ti tan pou Tande sa ke mape Di-ou la
Gin you le kap rive, bouche mouin pap kabap pale anko....

Pran you ti pou di mouin kisa-ou panse de mouin...

Gin youn le kap rive sorey mouin pap kapab tande anko.
Translates:
Take time to learn how to love me
Take time to understand me
Even though we may not take the same road
Even though we may not have the same opinion.

Chorus
Take time to listen, to what I am saying
There will come a time when my mouth won't be able to speak
Taje time to tell me what you think about me
There will come a time when my ear won't be able to hear...

Lyrics and Music:By Brother J
