Casale : the original documentary

Here is the original version of the documentary Casale directed by Roland Paret in 2004 with the support of Fanal Productions.

Casale is a small village of western Haiti where live to this day the descendants of Polish soldiers who came with Napoleon's army to fight the rebellion of former slaves.

After most of them deserted, they acquired after independence the Haitian citizenship and they settled there to never return home.
