Papa Pyè Funeral scheduled for 11 November 2017, paid for by the Haitian Government
The funeral of Haitian actor Jean Claude Joseph, alias Papa Pyè, which was scheduled for Saturday 04 November 2017 has been re-scheduled for Saturday 11 November 2017 in Maryland.

According to a morning news from Radio Caraibes FM, the Haitian government was trying to give Papa Pyè a national funeral in Haiti; however, most of his family lives in Maryland and would be unable to travel to Haiti for the funeral.
Two of Papa Pye's brothers live in Haiti. The Haitian government is trying help them get travel documents to travel the the United States for the funeral.
One government official being interviews on Radio Caraibes FM said the Haitian Government will pay the funeral home for Papa Pye's funeral arrangements. A government delegation will leave Haiti to attend the the funeral in Maryland he said.
