Tonight, the whole world will sing WE ARE THE WORLD again, this time they will be singing for Haiti.

'We are the World 25 for Haiti' Premieres Tonight on NBC.

The video will air during NBC's coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics tonight, February 12, at 8:30 p.m. ET.

I am sure it will be an exciting and memorable moment for us all and a reminder that helping Haiti is a long term commitment.

It's funny... When the original song first came out 25 years ago, I was still living in Haiti and unable to speak English...

To hear it again and to know that it's for Haiti, Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean is a part of it, Haitian actor Jimmy Jean Louis is a part of it, this song has a whole new meaning for all of us and perhaps the whole world because the horrible tragedy that happened in Haiti is possibly the worse natural disaster in the history of the modern world.
