Open letter to the press and the public Haitien
Wednesday, November 30, 2011

Dear friends of the press, friends and supporters of the Club des Artistes, is with a saddened heart that I send you these lines after learning the new relationship that my friend and colleague of long standing, Stanley Mattheus, was arrested by the Haitian police last Friday in Port-au-Prince. I will go straight to the point to say that the man I know is not one to serve alcohol or drugs to anyone and especially not to minors.

I just think about it, I can not understand what happened. Many people called me about the arrest of Mr. Stanley over the past weekend, to question his character. After reading the thoughts surfacing was so stupid about it, I decided to make my public response for the edification of people who do not hesitate to condemn even before the judge.

Stanley Mattheus is a colleague and a friend of long standing. I met him in 1984 through the films he had turned. At that time I was already working with Bob to Claire Lemoine Image in the production of "Gabel". In 1986, I began to enjoy the presence of Mr. Mattheus has its arrival at the palace as a national officer of the Haitian State. I had the privilege of discovering a complete man, a father, an actor, professor of dance, an official of the state, a citizen seriously, valid, which, despite all the possibilities within his reach, a chosen to remain in Haiti to continue working for the education of youth of our country.

Let me tell you that Stanley had chosen the most difficult. I, Jean Michel Gallumette, was also an official of the state which, at the time, had decided to leave my country to pursue the many opportunities available to me in the United States of America.

Today, despite the geographical distance, I continue to work with Stanley in the film. In fact, because of the respect and deep admiration I feel for Stanley, we've just put a movie on the market, "The Innocent Victim / LA VICTIME INNOCENTE" I am the director and director, and Stanley, the main actor.

"The Innocent Victim / La Victime Innocente" tells how the children become the real victims when families and society do not unite to protect them. I still remember the long time spent with Stanley to discuss how important it was to protect our children in a world where values are are no longer what they once were.

I do not claim to be the devil's advocate, but knowing Stanley Mattheus, I can testify on his behalf, he is first and foremost, an artist with a heart of gold, an official respect for the rule of 1986 to the present. It is not a businessman, it is rather an artist who has always count on employees to manage the box.

The man I know, Stanley Mattheus, would never tolerate that serve alcohol to minors. If a sin is simply because he wanted to provide a framework Haitian youth healthy and have fun at the same time show off their talents. The lesson, if you want to succeed you need to invest more time managing your business rather than entrust them to others who may not have the same values as you.

Therefore, friends and supporters, I invite you to pull yourself together to give the benefit of the doubt has a son of the country, until proven otherwise, remains innocent. Do not forget that in our country, jealousy is a disease still rampant ...

Sincerely, Jean Michel Gallumette, Haïtian movie Producer
