belfim.com/picture-5248"Someone told me that 'Lionel Beeper' is selling my movie at his store," says Godnel 'Babylove' Latus, "So I headed over there to confront him."

]]"This is my sweat and blood;" the filmmaker continues, "I cannot allow anyone to profit from it without me making a dime."

La Police... Tout Bagay!

[[act1438 Babylove went on to tell us that the Police is involved, he filed a police report, and that he will take legal action against Lionel Beeper.

Who is Lionel Beeper?

Lionel Beeper is Caminito Fond Rose, someone who many claim is involved in bootlegging Haitian movies and has been accused of piracy in the past (see this article).

Belfim is no a the legal justice system, we are not the court, we are not here to accuse anyone, but bootlegging is the number one complaint from every single Haitian filmmaker out there.

It it hurting Belfim.com because we only make money when the Haitian filmmakers make money. We are in fact in the PROMOTION business.

When these filmmakers spend their hard earned money to pay us to promote their movies, we really want them to sell their movies and make a profit.

It is with that profit that they can pay the actors, pay themselves, take time to come up with another scenario, and pay us for the next promotion so we can stay in business.

As you can see, bootlegging is not only hurting the filmmakers, it is hurting everyone around them.

What do you think about this?
