Bamboch TV In Trouble for Illegally Playing Haitian Movies
This information came to Belfim via our message boards so we decided to investigate.
We found a video of Filmmaker Hans Patrick Domercant admitting openly to shutting down Banbochtv.com and making a call the all Haitian movie fans to keep an eye out for sites who are playing Haitian movies online?
Watch the video:
"This is America," say Haitian filmmaker Hans Patrick Domercant, "we are covered by the law, the Digital Millennium Act, and this one of the reasons we will not tolerate any websites to play Haitian movies illegally, specifically "San Papye" which is copyrighted in the United States."
This is a major issue with Haitian filmmakers nowadays. Everyone wants to have an online TV station and they don't want to create nor pay to acquire Haitian content legally
We understand how difficult it is for these Haitian filmmaker to produce and distribute their movies and we do not tolerate this kind of behavior. There are many things you can do with a website to get more traffic and make money, playing movies illegally is not one of them.
