Claude Similus Biography

Claude Similus is the only son of a poor young woman who was expelled, from her family baptist church in Leogane for an out of wedlock pregnancy, Her parents Mr Lebrun Beaubrun & Mrs Olina Miller Beaubrun.

Lamane Beaubrun relocate in Port au Prince, Where Claude was born and raised by his prominent childless Godmother (Suzanne) Whom he deeply loves and adores forever. He started acting at the age of 7 year old after he has played a significant role in a local Theatre neighborhood in Carrefour Feuilles where He grew up.

He began playing guitar at the age of 12. Thanks to some fantastics players such as Gerard Manigat, Frenel Lahens, Frederick Charpentier, Wilder etc. Everything changed for the best after he crossed paths with (Ministre dept du touriste) Mr Andre Narcisse who invited him for an audition at ( theatre de verdure) Where he discovered his dancing talent, Because of his Judo, Karate skills he picked up all the dance moves in a very short times to become A professional dancer and choreographer for the youth dancers at college St Pierre. Lycee des jeunne filles etc.

At the age of 16, He Came to united states where he spent most of his adult life. Claude was among the first black group ever performed at Kennedy center performing Arts in Washington DC, with Jazz des Jeunes & Shango Troupe Folk dancers, Follows by Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Many Televisions appearance in New York, Philadelphia Phillies,

In later years he began Writing and arranging musics for solo artist: Willy Lacroix, Andre Dorismond, Performed as bass player in most Haitian Mini Jazz, Latin band, Including Fedia Laguerre, Miriam Dorisme Joe Trouillot Ansy desroses, Arsene Apollon, etc

Later became recording artist for Mini Records where he's inspired to become a serious musician.

Studies Musicianship Sight singing and Ear training AT AMDA American musical and drama academy/ Maurice Finnell studio, in Manhattan New York. After study for six years, As part of these efforts He was signed with Melodie makers Records Company As band leader composer arranger with his group Shandel, His music maintained a focus on Haitian compas direct.

Works with many famous musicians such as Pete Macnamara, Josh Harris, Luis Bonilla, Dean Mccaslin, Ken Watters, Sefus Anderson, Wassy Muhammad etc.
After a long west After a long west coast tour, He recorded the album tou limin and then retired because of some complicated issues with the band members.

He became musical & choir director in Newark, NJ Church of God, Teaching Musicianship, sight singing to beginners and advanced students including instruments Such as PIANO, GUITAR, BASS, in Churches and at his home studio.

Now playing A major role as Jean Marc in Movies, Such as Selfish love, (Un Monde a l'envers ) as detective. And played the Piano sound tracks, And recently Arranged and played Guitar on Album Crazy for you, by (Jessie Desir) Solo Artist.
