Jude Deronceray (Roupy) Biography

Jude DeRonceray (Roupy) was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in the year 1965. He went to Institution St Louis de Gonzague for his Elementary Education and graduated High School from College Bird in 1985.

After his certification in Journalism at Institut Francais d'Haiti, Roupy started his own magazine "Haiti-Humour", a monthly publication.

Later, he joined Radio-Metropole as an announcer and quickly move on to be well-known in his country. In 1986, Roupy established himself in new Jersey, USA where he got two degrees with High Honor: A.A.S. in TV Production Management (1989) at Essex County College, Newark, New Jersey and BA in Communications (1993) at Upsala College, East Orange, NJ.

While in College, Roupy was already Manager-Producer of Radio Soleil d'Haiti weekly radio program on WNJR 1430 AM. In 1990, he joined Radio Tropicale d'Haiti 92 FM SCA where he spent five years as Coordinator and hosting the most popular Radio show of the 90's: Tropicale-Matin. The performance of Roupy at this hot morning show broadcasted by Satellite live in Haiti and around the world pushed him up to be the third most popular public personality in Haiti for the year 1995.

Master of Ceremony for all occasions, Roupy also produces Radio and TV commercials for a large number of businesses in the USA, Canada and Haiti. He hosts major shows on Radio Verite, Tele-Citronnelle, Haitian Satellite Television. Roupy also worked as a host- translator for a special 60 minutes on CBS about Rwanda .

In the year 1995, Roupy founded La Bande de Roupy, cultural dancing group in New Jersey who has performed along with famous artist in and out of the state. Comedian by nature, Roupy has performed many times at stand-up comedy shows in night clubs, banquets, festivals, and private parties. He published a CD, an Audio Tape, a Book, a Videotape still available on the market.

Besides a busy life in the cultural world, Jude DeRonceray (Roupy) is a full time Teacher making a difference in the life of the youths and educating tomorrow's leaders. In the year 2000, Jude DeRonceray was the first Haitian American in New Jersey to run for assemblyman in the 37th Legislative district. His candidacy created a major impact opening new doors for political achievements.

Recently, Jude DeRonceray created and launched on the internet, RoupyEntertainment.com: promoting and booking Models and Talents. Today, more than yesterday, Roupy is moving up to reach out the limit: The Sky!
