Patrick Ulysse Biography

Patrick Ulysse is the Founder, President, and CEO of UniMix Films, LLC

Filmmaker, Director, Producer, Patrick Ulysse was born and raised in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

He resided in his native country until the age of 16, where he then migrated to Brooklyn, New York.

As a youth Patrick's personality began to take shape, and his love for the movie making business became apparent to not only his family, but to his peers as well.

As a descendent of his native land, familiarizing himself with his new home, America was at times difficult.

There was an obvious cultural disparity.

In order to gain acceptance amongst his peers he would entertain them by creating and cultivating fictional stories, which was an extension of his passion to produce exceptional, and thought provoking story lines.

When Patrick realized he had a knack for what was soon to be his future career, he took his story-telling a step further.

At the age of 17 a firm decision was made, and a Filmmaker was born.

At 19, as he honed in on his skills, Patrick produced and directed "VOTE" a short documentary which soul purpose was to educate teenagers such as himself on the importance of utilizing ones voting power.

As Patrick produced and directed future films, short stories, documentaries, and music videos, the comparison to movie industry notables, such as Steven Spielberg, and Spike Lee were being made.

Like Steven Spielberg, Patrick's desire and hunger for the movie business began at a tender age, and with barely any equipment he marched forward to have his visions seen by the masses.

He has been compared to Spike Lee for his continuous venture into areas of film, which have yet been explored.

The freshness of his work is intangible. Patrick intends to tell the stories of, the cross, and multi-cultured American.

The American, who, like him, came to America to be freed from economic and political strife; His stories will reflect the images from the view of the foreigner, and the members of the second generations, who have now been made to feel and be an American.

Though his works are predominantly in English, he reminds the viewers of the cultural influences in his works.

He understands the importance of "bridging the gap" and bringing all of our worlds together in order to learn from one another.

Patrick has also traveled the world extensively, which allowed him to see the world through the eyes of a visionary, and an artist.

He incorporates all of his loves and passions into his work.

This adds to their realistic and tangible elements.

People identify with his messages, no matter how inconspicuous they may seem. The messages are always hidden in the work.

When viewing one of Patrick Ulysse's pieces, be sure to pay close attention to detail, for that is where the messages often lay.
