Misty Jean Biography

Misty Jean is a Haitian music superstar turned actor. Misty Jean was born in Haiti in Febuary 1983. She started performing at the early age of three with the dance institute of LYNN W. ROUZIER who thought her dance.

Misty Jean started singing at the age of seven in amateur singing contests with Paul Villefranche. Since then, her passion for music became an obsession. At Anglade high school where she graduated, Misty Jean was named solist of the choir and became an instant neighborwood celebrity.

In 1998, Misty Jean took part at LA SOIREE MAGIQUE DE LA GUITARE with well known haitian pianist Raoul Denis Jr. and THE Widmaier brothers.

In 1999, Misty Jean was chosen by the leading haitian cellular phone company HAITEL to be their main model in a major promotional campaign.

During the month of febuary 2001, Misty Jean flew to the island of St. Marteen where she represented Haiti among twenty two countries in the election of «MISS WEST INDIES».

On febuary 21, Misty Jean won the contest for best talent and was crowned MISS WEST INDIES.

On May 27th of 2001, at the Ritz Kinam in Petion Ville, at the night entitled FEMME of Yole Derose, Misty Jean sang together with well acclaimed Orlane and Emeline Michel. You also find her in CARIBBEAN ESCAPE of Raoul Denis Jr.

In febuary of 2002, Misty Jean was crowned "Miss de la Francophonie" in Port-au-Prince.

In march 2002, Misty Jean left Haiti and moved to the United States where she is currently attending college.

In march 2003, Misty Jean performed at DIVA'S NIGHT at Gusto's in Miami Lakes.

On april 13th 2003, Misty Jean was crowned "QUEEN OF CARNIVAL" at the MIAMI MARDI GRAS.
