Coulgi Biography

Young talented Josue Coutia better known as Coulgi was born in Miami, in Jackson Memorial Hostpital January 28, 1985.

Coulgi grew up in pont-rouge one of thoughest and roughest ghetto in Haiti.

Coulgi attended Frère Andre from 1st grade to the 5 grade,college Jean Price Mars.from 6 grade to the 7 grade move back to the States at the age 11, Crystal Lake Middle School 8 grade Deerfield Beach High School 9-12 grade class of 2002 Maryland Silverspring High School 12 class of 2003. He then went to Earl C Clements Job Corps where he graduated 2004.

Josue Coutia went to FAU in 2005 where he is pursuing a degree in psychiatry.

Coulgi is the lead rapper of I&I "Illegal Immigrant". He is the first hip-hop Kreyol artist to perform on a national Television" BET" and also won the first place. He participated in many student events to help them raise money and promote the Haitian's Culture.

He also took part in various charity benefit shows for many social issues such as aids and drugs awareness.

Coogi has performed in some of the biggest Haitian and Jamaican shows such as The King of the Dancehall, The Compas Festival in Miami, The Festival of Independence in Miami, The Haitian National Conference in New York, Philadelphia, and Boca Raton, Club S.O. B's in New York, Five Spot Café New York, Shakaitutu First Annual Hip-Hop Kreyol Concert, and many places in Haiti and Canada.

Coogi especially enjoy rapping about social issues and encourage young people to stay in school. His lyrics teach other aspiring rappers to follow their dreams.
