Leilah Behrmann

Leilah Behrmann Biography

I was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on May 8th 1982.

I attended L'Institution du Sacre-Coeur and College St. Francois D'Assise. I left Haiti when I was 12 and moved to NJ. When it was time to come to college, I moved to Miami, FL.

I am a Theatre major at Barry University. I am currently playing the role of Miss Julie in the play entitled "Miss Julie." During my time at Barry, I have also worked backstage on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews during their nation wide campus tour.

I have also appeared in the Haitian motion picture Wind of Desire.

This was a great opportunity for me to get an inside glimpse of the process of filmmaking, which is something that truly interest me. I am currently the host of Afro Tempo, which is one of the hottest Music Video show's in the Haitian community.

After graduating from Barry University, I would like to be involved with something that would allow me to combine my love for the arts, my strong interpersonal skills, and traveling. I see myself moving to NYC to work for a television studio because of my interest in broadcasting and because of how much I enjoy doing Afro Tempo.

When I'm not on stage or in front of the camera, I enjoy writing, fencing, dancing, modeling and of course being with my friends and family.
