Milca Volny

Milca Volny Biography

Milca Volny was born in Brooklyn, NY where she lived with her family for a number of years.

She is the daughter of her late father, Adler Volny, and Milca P. Volny. At a young age she moved to Gonaives (Haiti) where she attended Ecole Primaire Francois Volny, an elementary school, founded by her grandfather.

Music inspired Milca at an early age. By the time she was six years old, she was taking piano lessons and became an active member of the Church Kids' Choir. During her teenage years she took even more music classes and attended the first few years of high school in Haiti. Not too long thereafter she moved to Montreal, Canada to further her education.

There, she attended Van Horne High in the West of Montreal. After high school, she enrolled at Vieux Montreal College, where she earned a degree in literature and languages.

While in Canada she was the treasurer of the Youth Association at her grandfather's Church, to later on becoming secretary. She was also a Sunday school teacher for kids, and one of the the choir lead singers.

Milca now resides in the United States with her family. She currently works at Florida Atlantic University, at the Dean's office, College of Business. Milca is an art lover and aspires to one day own an art gallery. Her hobbies are volleyball, basketball, reading, movies, traveling, eating out, hanging out with friends, theatrical events, music, and modeling.

She was introduced to Cafe Au Lait director, Georges Jiha, trough Elisabeth Guerin, the movie's casting director. She never imagined she would get the leading role alongside Pasha Brandt to play the movie's love interest, Minoushka.

For those of you who know her more intimately, she carries the nickname Minouche. Coincidence? Maybe not!
