Sacha Parisot Biography

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in Monterey, California, Sacha Parisot's path to filmmaking was quite a journey.

Sacha graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in 1984 from Polytechnic University in New York.

Then while pursuing a career in software development, he studied filmmaking at Long Island University in New York, Weslyan University in Connecticut, and DeAnza College in California.

During his studies, Sacha wrote, directed, produced, and edited 14 short films. In 2001, Sacha made the career change from engineering to filmmaking.

Writer - Director Sacha Parisot's first feature film, SKIN DEEP, has played in over 20 festivals, had a limited theatrical run in the USA, and is currently available on DVD nationwide.

SKIN DEEP is Sacha's first feature film as writer and director, and has won six international awards. SKIN DEEP is Sacha's third collaboration with cinematographer Aitor Mantxola.
