Looking at what the bible says about our enemy satan..it is clear that Michael was not in a good state of mind. If he really thought a demon was inside his mother, the only right way to handle it would have been to cast it out in Jesus'name, cause Jesus' name is the only power satan and his demons are submissive to. Humans do nothing to them. Satan can not be killed with a sword and Michael must have known that. Unfortunately, there was absolutely somehting inside of him that did not belong there, whether that was combined with drugs is unknown.

It is, no matter what exactly happend, very very sad.

Micheal will probably come to senses and realise what he has done, and that will be a huge burden for him.
