Dear Mr Henri I doubt very much that I can remember all that...

Dear Mr Henri
I doubt very much that I can remember all that you said about everything.

The first thing I would like to tell you is that I never said that Philippe the character in my movie was the strongest actor maybe the strongest message and even If I wanted to say so I could...when was the last time you saw or heard an entrepreneur AKA Bourgeois treats the person who works for him this way...don't you read the papers coming out of Haiti...when was the last time you heard from somebody that his servant seats on the same sofa with him to watch TV...let me make explain certain things to you but before I would like to get one thing straight Mr Henri.

I did not release any movie in 2005...we did a premiere of a movie in the making to please the media and give an avant gout to a small audience ...and even that version is not the version your bad boys pirated.

They pirated an unfinished montage with the word reference passsing on the screen.

We did not make up stories because the film was pirated.

You simply have like everyone elese a bad copy in your hands without the 12 scenes I have mentioned.

Take a look at the trailer on You Tube and see how many quick images from scenes you can't find in your bad copy...just do it, slow it down and find those scenes.

I want to see you at the premiere of this final version you are asking me to release and I will sooner then you think.

I will say this to you Mr. Henri...Toussaint represents the dream of all Haitians but Philippe's character was there to set certain taboos and bad customs we have in our society straight like the servant who gets treated like a dog...or is kept uneducated so he can be exploited...he only speaks when he is spoken to...he shakes no one's hand nor he would watch TV with him. It wsn't necessary for me to mention the lead of the movie who is normally the straongest character along with Farah I do understand that. I was refering to the message I want to get across and to me the strongest message we should send to every one is to treat everyone equal and to help them to know how to read so they can fend for themselves if you are no longer there to support them, because certainly not everyone will treat them like you do. I do not believe that the person who cooks for you should wait until every one finishes at the table to eat while the food sits on that table getting cold for hours.

It is a common practice in our country...Philippe will not do that nor will he drive a Baton Moise ( the Mercedes Jeep) in a country like Haiti where people are not eating well or sometime not at all it is sensles, buy a less expensive car and feed someone with the difference...these are the messages I am talking about...an entrepreneur who holds the hands of his worker to teach him how to use the keyboard of a computer is not seen in our society but it should be seen...that is what I am talking about. This is how I treat people who work with me.But with all due respect, I want to apologyse for not bringing the movie out whether you want to believe it or not that there are or there are not 12 missing scenes that is your own objective I cant make you believe that until you see the movie for yourself.

I can only tell you that I have added some of the unseen images in the trailer so go ahead and take a lookd again.

Two month ago we were releasing the film to the public until my distributor's sister became very ill and went into a coma and is now in a nursing home, just a week ago. I coulnd ask of him to disregard this issue because I wanted to be selfish avare about a movie.

I do understand what you are talking about.

Going back to Philippe the character and my friend...well you seems to be all stuckup on Hollywood, Bollywood and what have you...it is not about that my friend it is about talent and not the fact that the actor has done other movies...I know some haitian actors who have played over 8 movies and still can't act. They wouldn't be casted in my film if they were the last actors on earth.

A talented actor is one that cant recreate your vision and since you had no idea what my vision was you should give me credit for recognising what fits my vision.

I am flattered to read that you are a fan and I happened to be a fan of all my fans and certainly I will give them more films if God give me the heath to do so...by the way, when it comes to pirates they don't turn me around because all they've done so far is made money with a film but there is one thing they cannot do right now is give you the final version of the film to see..that they cannot do, only I can show you the final version of the movie.

LEt me know where you'll be in the next 2 weeks and I will show you the final version that way you can write all about it, and send your own message to the pirates!!!! because all they'll ever be are pirates without any creativity and talent, they can't even do a good cover.

The reason I chose new talent who later would become actors is simply because I wanted to give a certain belief to the story, just like Toussaint played by Junior Metellus was his first role in a movie.

I didn'twant to use known actors so that the audience whouln'd be familiar with him and therefore would see him at first as a paisant, nothing more...this way his rise would be more apparent.

But if it were some know actor like Lubin or Andy well it wouldn'thave the same impact.

Let go of the negative criticsm my friend I did not invent the pirates for me to lose all the money I and others have invested in this movie.

It will come out soon but I promissed you that the sequel like Pluie d'ESpoir2 because there will be 2...will be done in less then 6months and I promise you that this time, since I will not have any more interns working on the montage of my film, the pirates will have to make their own movies to bootleg.

Again do not confuse strongest actor with strongest message...to me the main message in my movie is that we treat each other with respect because nou tout se moun menm si nou pa menm moun my friend.

The orher message of becoming an entrepreneur like Toussaint did from the bottom up is also another message telling our people that they should try hard, again hoping that they'll find someone like Phillippe to give them a hand and a push!because we all need it!
Thank you Mr. Henri
It's 1AM I think I'll go to bed now.
