Livenie, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a writer who produces and directs his own movies.

It does take a lot handle of those responsibility, but as long as that particular person as the Juice and the Talent to get the job done, there is no rules/law in filmmaking that says ones should not write, produce, and direct his own movies.

I can provide you with a list of major movies that was written, produced and directed by the same person.

When it comes to the post production process, that is a whole different story.

It is never a good idea for the writer and/or the director to edit his own movies because it is hard for them to get rid of a scene that makes no sense just because the shot looks nice.

Just thought I should add my $.02

To the writers, There are plenty of websites available where you can post your script online for filmmakers to read. It doesn't matter whether the script is in Creole, French, or English, a "Real" filmmaker will never turn down a well written script with a great story.
