I strongly agree that there has to be be some level of censorship.

We do not own belfim, we are privileged to be able to express our thoughts and share our ideas on Haitian cinema.

With no censorship at all and no log-in requirements, people will loose interest in that website very rapidly.

Why?

2 basic reasons:
1. You know how much certain members of our community cannot accept that someone else did something good. It should have been them and since it's not, the bashing starts.

Constructive criticism is what we need for our cinema to grow, not total destruction.

If that senseless bashing can not be regulated, people will just lose interest in the website.

2. Instead of using belfim as a forum, certain people may tend to use that website as a venue to constantly and annoyingly promote themselves and their work by posting comments of how good they are and how great their movie is under different names, since you dont have to log in to place a comment.

This will become so boring that great information and great "zin" will not have a chance to make its way to belfim and, soon enough, people will get bored of it.

With this said, I do believe that a certain level of censorship is necessary to keep belfim interesting.

How much censorship?

That's up to Mr Woodring, he owns the site.
