RE: Jon Christian Sajous

It is time that I write about Jon Christian Sajous as my friend for a number of years.

When I first showed the first 14 minutes of Pluie d'Espoir to Jeanky, he showed great interest and said that he had to play the part of Philippe the entrepreneur. Then it was Robert Cheron who had tested for the part. Jeanky insisted to play the part of he would no longer be my friend.

I must admit that he was right...he turned out to be the perfect Philippe.

His acting was up to par and was always focused on the character he was playing...Jeanky wanted to play the part because the entrepreneur had compassion and cared about the paesant that Toussaint was and of course the fact that he was a person...smart, though uneducated but eager to learn.

He liked the fact that the story line was trying to bridge that distant gap between the have and the have not. We think very much a like and that's why I must say that I was glad to have agreed to let him play the part. He tells me all the time that he cannot walk around where he lives because everyone regoconises him.
Cheers, Jacques ROC
